The Old Port Festival (originally posted on 6/3/08)

Sunday (6/1) was my last day of vacation, and I thought it was about time I got out from behind my laptop for a little while. Jami and I went to a couple yard-sales, then headed into the Old Port for the Old Port Festival. We got there around 10:30, before the mobs hit. It was perfect - the parade started at 11:00, and it we still had a good hour after that before it got really crowded. We had lobster rolls (not bad for $8) for lunch, and Jami indulged in fried dough. Below is a slideshow of the pictures I took. The huge puppets from the Shoestring Theater were very very cool. The last few pictures are flowers from our garden.
